London-town - 'at the height of summer'

I've just passed a very hot weekend in London - where we went to the annual Barnes Day Fete, as well as out for dinner in the East End.  The shot here shows some classic English bunting which seems to be everywhere making the city feel very festive. We found out after we had enjoyed a pre-dinner drink here in the courtyard that this bunting was up because the whole pub and garden bar was actually closed for a private wedding party, and somehow 7 of us had infiltrated the wedding party by mistake - in retrospect the bride (in pale blue lace) was definitely giving us the eye - but we managed to stay oblivious and enjoy our drinks! Funny.
